Everybody Wants Music Video

"Everybody Wants" is a music video from Colorado singer/songwriter Christopher Ryan. Katy was hired to design, fabricate, and direct the music video featuring shadow puppets. For the most part, this video was done in one contiuous take. Edited and filmed by Erik Fellenstein. Puppetry assistance from Maia Rychlik. You will see the storyboard process Katy used to create the final piece below. The piece features front-facing shadow puppetry. "Everybody Wants" is a commentary on consumerism and capitalism. Katy also collaborated with Christopher Ryan Music for another music video, "Distant Diamonds." Both songs are featured on his new album "Shadow Animal".

Both music videos were selected for the 2025 Castle Rock Film Festival. Distant Diamonds was a finalist for this festival.
