Hello!
It's nice to meet you :)
My name is Katy and I love telling stories through puppetry! I have been studying and practicing puppetry for over a decade, and have just absolutely fallen in love with the art form. It allows me to stretch my design and fabrication muscles, while being able to tap into my deep love for performing. There is something so special about bringing an object to life, and I am honored to share that gift as much as I can.
I currently work primarily as a puppeteer and director. I have really been enjoying my time on the stage, and also have a passion for teaching others. It has been my pleasure to serve as Puppet Director and Puppet Captain on many productions over the years. And for the right show I love to design and fabricate puppets.
I have puppets for rent for shows like Into the Woods, Wizard of Oz, Hand to God, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive The Bus, and others. Take a look around my website, feel free to reach out, and enjoy the puppets!

Current Projects
At Audacious Immersive, we believe that puppets are one of the most effective tools for bringing creatures, characters, and entire worlds to life—especially when your stories live in more fantastical realms. Puppetry allows for a level of interactivity, spontaneity, and surprise that fits beautifully into immersive work.
That’s why we’re so excited to offer this special workshop with one of Colorado’s most inventive puppetry artists: Katy Williams.
In this hands-on session, Katy will introduce participants to Viewpoints—a powerful creative tool for devisers, directors, puppeteers, and performers who want to unlock new ways of creating movement and character onstage. Rather than focusing on traditional puppet manipulation, Viewpoints encourages artists to explore space, time, and instinct through nine core elements: Spatial Relationship, Kinesthetic Response, Shape, Gesture, Repetition, Architecture, Tempo, Duration, and Topography.
You’ll start without puppets to get comfortable with the method, and then move into playful exercises with simple blank puppets (scarves, bags, and basic forms), where surprising characters emerge organically.
Whether you’re an experienced performer or just curious to try something new, this workshop is designed to spark creativity and free you from the pressure of “getting it right.” You’ll leave with new tools for movement, devising, and world-building—perfect for immersive and interactive storytelling.
